Summer's show career...
Summer was shown exclusively by Kaili Dale, the daughter of Sally and Garry Dale. It was the first time in the ring for both Kaili and Summer - but they worked together and improved each time they competed. On 25 February 2005, Summer entered her first dog show at the Crocus show in Brandon, Manitoba, and from the 6 to 9 junior puppy class, won best puppy in breed, best of winners, and best of breed over a BISS special under judge Cheryl Stuber for 2 points.
On 20 March 2005, Summer won best of opposite from the 6 to 9 junior puppy class over a special under judge Mike Palutke for another point at the Wheat City show in Brandon Manitoba.
On 25 March 2005, Summer won winner's bitch from the 6 to 9 junior puppy class for 2 points under judge Richard Lopaschuk at the Northwinds show in St. Norbert, Manitoba.
On 27 May 2005, Summer won best of opposite and best puppy in breed under judge Myra Lewis for 2 points at the Fort Garry show in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
On 28 and 29 May 2005, Summer won best puppy in breed at the Fort Garry show in Winnipeg, Manitoba, under judges Susan Badick and Wendy Maisey.
On 02 July 2005, Summer won best puppy in breed and best of winners at the Portage Kennel and Obedience Club in Portage, Manitoba under judge, Mark MacMillan for another point from the senior puppy class.
On 03 July 2005, Summer won best of opposite (over a special) and winner's bitch at the Portage Kennel and Obedience Club under judge John Kearley for another point from the senior puppy class.
On 06 August 2005, Summer finished her Canadian championship with a best of winners win at the Western Canada Boxer Club Specialty under judge Olga Gagne at the Manitoba Canine Association Dog Show held in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This was a five point win from the open bitch class.
