Artist Bio for Equine Photographer Sally Dale

Horses are a part of who I am. They have made me laugh, made me cry, made my heart skip a beat...As a child, they were my entertainment, my escape. As a young woman, these creatures mystified me with their beauty. As a mother, I watched them make a child's dream come true. And now, I peer out the window at the herd that I have created, with pride.

I have had 51 years of experience with horses. This has included: racing down the dirt roads in the summer, falling off in the snow in the winter, showing competitively at a variety of venues from small town fairs to the Toronto Royal, breeding Quarter Horses, Arabians, and Welsh Ponies, training and breaking horses, all the chores and duties that go along with raising horses, and photographing them throughout my lifetime.

As I grow in this profession, I realize how much passion I have for capturing the beauty of the horse...
